Calvin and Hobbes are 25 years old!

Although next December 31st will be the 15th anniversary of the last strip of "Calvin and Hobbes", last November 18th was the 25th anniversary of the first strip published of the great Bill Watterson's master piece...

I could do one million or more things to play tribute to this... but I done that thing :P

Anybody heard about Michael Bay thinking to do the Calvin and Hobbes movie in May 2011? :S

Connecting just to tell why I'm not connecting...

Well, just an excuse to upload a colour image, so I didn't for a long, long time... and just tell that, since the last week, and inspired by (and bare-faced copying) a new initiative from my friend Franchu, his new webcomic, CARGOLS ('snails') and the way he takes a comicpress-kinda-look in his 'blogger' blog, I created a new blog for Pete and Wolf's only comic-strips, in english and spanish, RIGHT HERE...

And that's all... this week I'll fight with a lot of craps and I will not have any time so... Let's cram and draw and work and all!! :S

Now, with the cold right here and the winter coming, the best thing to do it's to stay in bed, pull the covers up, dress in your pajamas and feel that warmy feeling...

We need to talk

I think those are four of the worst words that you'd want to hear from your partner... or from your boss :P

This strip it's a three-time keep on trying thing;

Keep on trying these Peta and Wolf comic strips. I like the idea and how they look together, and I have a long list with jokes, situations and strips to do.

Keep on trying that damn-kinda-machine-graphic-tablet... It's hard for me to find the good lines in the inking with the tablet, and I don't like the finish at all... I still prefering the pens and the handy drawing of tout la vie, but I think it's interesting to keep on working on it... Let's see :P

And keep on trying to improving my bad, bad, really bad english... Google Translator, you don't help a s%$t!

Where's the laughter?

Sometimes happens that we can see someone doing something that we can't see funny at all, don't you? Above all, when you see that someone has scratched a car, although it ain't YOURS, or that someone had destroyed the public property there... So, anyway you know it's definitely WRONG, if they are not even going to see the face or the reaction in the dude they're messing around... Where in the world is the damned joke at all??

Whatever... I guess it's all about behavior... and it ain't related with the next strip, I was only lookinf for someway to link it :P

This is just a bad joke that came to my mind with this couple... just trying situations :)

Depriving of bowels...

Keep on trying sketches with my digital tablet... I think that I'm getting the line a little bit more than before... but I'm still thinking that it's harder drawing with a digital tablet than drawing with my lovely pens and pencils, and I think that it's a kinda line and finish that NEVER will succeed with a tablet :P

Staging...

I love this part.

When I have a new idea with new characters, and I have sketched them twice or more times to get their shape and the way I like to ink them, then I try tu put them in kinda scenes and situations that could be tipically for the stories I'm gonna tell about them...


That's the funny part, 'cos you start to see'em on their own world, and you can really see if they look good together in the same "shot"...

TWOM: Well-prepared

Well, I was thinking about that "extraordinary 'tool'", and how it could make the life easier for an amateur cartoonist like me... and how much for a professional cartoonist!!

Wonder about the space, the weight (it's not the same to carrie just the iPad machine down your arm and to carrie all that drawing stuff like the folder full of sheets, the pens, pencils...) and the speed with which you can draw and ink wherever and not needing to change your tools...

Well... It's a pity about the price :)

I love the McFarlane's Spawn...

Well, at least, I loved it at first comics, until the #100, above all, the season with the Greg Capullo's awesome pencils... It was great, but when started to appear lots and lots of series and artists doing the Spawn Universe stuff... at first, with Sam and Twitch and the Curse of Spawn was cool, but I had lost track of all of it...

That amazing story, all those great and amazing drawings and the tattoo in my shoulder is what I save today :)
